Drama, Drama, Some More Stuff, and More Drama….

Kei eats, sleeps and breathes theatre.† She has loved it since she could walk and talk.† We try to take advantage of everything our semi-small town offers.† She has been in 9 plays and is about to audition for the 10th.† We are doing Annie right now.

Last week was Camp Princess.† She had such a blast.† It is a week long theatre camp with the show on Friday night.† This is her second year to attend.† Every day she I dropped her off at the theatre she was just giddy.† When I take pictures of her onstage, her face just glows.† I don’t think I have ever loved an activity that way.

  1. I am so sorry I have not been by in so long! We have been busy and sick….

Wow, the theatre camp looks so fun! It’s so wonderful that Kei has found her passion in life! And I admire how you do whatever it takes to keep her involved in it. You are such a great mom!!

That Tomato Pie looks awesome, too! It’s funny because I thought that was something we just had around here, though around here we make it different…so I have to try that! I LOVE tomatoes!!

Annie is my favorite play! I love it! I love the floor in the room she is rehearsing in too!! The room reminds me of Al’s Diner from Happy Days for some reason! lol! What role does she have in Annie?

  2. Great photos Karen! You always manage to capture the joy. I love that. I know it can’t be easy juggling work, homeschooling lessons, theater practice, etc. but you seem to do it in a way that brings out the joy in your child. It is very cool to be able to see our children grow through these posts. I wonder if someday I will be purchasing tickets to see her on broadway…..that would be so cool.

  3. Ah, the JOY, the JOY on your girl’s face! Yes, she is in her element, utterly. How beautiful to know yourself so well and be driven by such fine fireÖ how inspiring Kei is. I am so thrilled for you, proud and loving Mama! How wonderful you get to be part of her journey. Oh, I would hug you both right now, but my arms just won’t reach across all that water and all that land. (Tho’ I’ve tried).

So imagine hugs coming your way in the clouds and in the wind. Okay?

Tomato pie, too. Karen, you have outdone yourself! 🙂

  4. Sounds like an awesome week! Love the pictures! I posted a link to some harry potter dress ups I though Kei might like from a party my girls went to last year. LOVE the frisbee picture of Nomad, that is an amazing shot! Hugs xoxox

  5. Ahhhhhh. we laughed SO hard at the pic of Nomad! Oh, I hurt now, that just is too funny.
