Short and Sweet

It’s been a rough week.  For more than one reason.  But I want to post so this is going to our week in mostly pictures.  MOST of our week.

Keilee got to reprise her role in Little Women.  They did a couple of scenes for a Theater workshop.  She loved being “Amy” again.

Shrek the Musical practice 4 times a week now.  This show is going to ROCK. Seriously.  This is the most talented group Keilee has ever worked with.  Especially Shrek and Donkey.  Awesome!!  The main roles are adults except for one guy and they are immensely talented.  She has had a blast so far.

One of the reasons for our week has been Augustus.  It is very stressful caring for a squirrel who keeps trying to die on you.  More on that later but I will leave you with his cute self.

We have done schoolish things; a few times.  Mainly we have just been trying to keep our head above water.

  1. I’m always amazed by how you’re still able to give Keilee an array of great experiences and memories – even when times are rough. Love the photo of Augustus on the scales. Sending you hugs and wishes for smooth sailing soon.

  2. What amazing life experiences you all are having. I pray next week will be harder. Are you still laid off?
    Blessings, Dawn

  3. We will keep you in our prayers and Augustus. I think that is the first time I’ve prayed for a squirrel. I love the photo of Augustus and Nomad nose to nose. It looks like that meeting went ok.

  4. Pets like needy baby squirrels do tend to keep you busy! My daughter once took care of a few baby opossums! She carried them around in her beanie baby sleeping bag! She kept them alive for a week then the professional wildlife rehabilitator took over and they died! It was quite devastating. I’m glad Keilee was able to keep up with her love of acting this week!

  5. So wish we could come and see Shrek. I’ll bet it is going to be wonderful. Raising any kind of wildlife, especially squirrels and bunnies, from that age is very hard. Hope this next week is better for you guys.
    Blessings
    Diane
