Graduation

It’s over. It’s done. My sweet girl has graduated.

It was an amazing night. After crying for the last four years about this night I did not cry one drop. I was just so proud of her.  She was chosen to give the graduation speech and it was incredible.  It made me want to start all over again and homeschool!

She found the perfect dress at the thrift store and wore her Elsa shoes!

She spent weeks on her hat adding rhinestones with tweezers.  It was most fitting that it was a Gilmore Girls quote.

Keilee and my cousin Teresa and her daughter Zoe.

Afterwards we all went out to eat.

Here is her speech.

I can not believe this part of her journey is over.  But I truly believe the best is yet to come.

Like her hat said, “Ready for Anything!”

Homeschooling Rocks!

  1. I kept looking for a picture of all the rhinestone work…

Congratulations to Keilee for this milestone. And to you as well.

  2. What a lovely graduation for Keilee who is a fantastic public speaker. I am so proud of you, Karen. You ROCKED homeschooling and you will always rock motherhood. I can’t believe how quickly Marcus’ 9th grade year flew by. I’m trying not to think about how our homeschooling journey will be over in just three short years. YOU are an inspiration to me, Karen. You have raised a truly beautiful, strong young woman. That is a credit to you, her beautiful, strong mama.

  3. Congrats on the completion of this part of your family’s wonderful journey through homeschool. I know it is bitter sweet to see this chapter end. Please stop by the old blog now and again and let us know how life continues on for both of you.
    Blessings, Dawn

  4. Good luck to you both on the next stage in your journey. I’m still coming to terms with no longer homeschooling. It’s strange given it was such a huge part of my life for so long.
