Keilee, as many little girls, grew up on Disney films.\u00a0 Time after time she would watch The Little Mermaid and Cinderella.\u00a0 For years the most repeated words I heard from her was “Rewind it please”.\u00a0 We had all the movies on VHS at the time.<\/p>\n

She would dress up in her Princess dresses and high heel shoes and want to wear them everywhere.\u00a0 There are so many times she wore them to the grocery store and the sound of them ‘clicking’ on the grocery floor is a memory I will never forget.<\/p>\n

When she was 3 she dressed up as a Princess for Halloween.\u00a0 It was a huge, itchy outfit.\u00a0 After going to a Halloween party we were going to go trick or treating and she wanted to go home and change clothes.\u00a0 (I had a backup Pirate costume because I knew how uncomfortable the outfit and shoes were)\u00a0 She said to me in her little 3 year old voice, “It’s tough work being a Princess Mommy”.<\/p>\n

Now, 12 years later, she is still playing Princess dress up.\u00a0 This group that she is a part of has been such a perfect fit for her.\u00a0 It combines her love of all things Disney Princess with her love for acting.<\/p>\n

\"2015<\/a><\/p>\n

She has had 3 birthday parties that I don’t have pictures of.\u00a0 Here is one of her coming back to the car afterwards though.<\/p>\n

They set up a booth at a local Market Day.\u00a0 Keilee played Cinderella.\u00a0 Even though she loves Elsa and plays her the most, she loves being Cinderella more.<\/p>\n

They got a call from an aunt whose twin 3 year old nieces and their families had lost everything in a fire.\u00a0 They were most upset about their Elsa dresses.\u00a0 The aunt bought them new ones and wanted to know if “Elsa” and “Anna” would surprise them with the dresses.\u00a0 I love that they donate their time when there isn’t any monetary reward.<\/p>\n

\"2015<\/a><\/p>\n

Then they went to 3rd Friday.\u00a0 They did this as promotion for their business.\u00a0 It is downtown and we have always gone.\u00a0 I love the looks on little girls faces.\u00a0 And I love to watch Keilee interact with them.\u00a0 There was also this little boy who acted so shy but made his Dad follow them up and down the streets.\u00a0 When any of them turned around he would hide behind his Dad.\u00a0 It was so cute. Oh and Keilee found a dog to pet. Keilee ALWAYS finds a dog to pet, even as Elsa.<\/p>\n

They also have gone to the mall to walk around.\u00a0 On a Friday night.\u00a0 It was the coolest thing.\u00a0 Several “big” girls asked to pose in pictures.\u00a0 And several boys!\u00a0 Teenage boys!!\u00a0 One little girl asked Keilee is she was the real Elsa.\u00a0 When Keilee said yes she jerked on her hair.\u00a0 Thankfully Keilee is able to use her real hair! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\"2015<\/a><\/p>\n

May is chocked full of events.\u00a0 Markets and birthday parties and library read alouds. Keilee has tons of ideas and even though she is the youngest she is always calling or texting the ‘main’ girl to share ideas.<\/p>\n

This is such a perfect thing for her and I am so glad she found this.\u00a0 It requires so much time and organization and commitment. And she is more than willing to do it all.\u00a0 It is so special to see the little girls eyes light up when they see her.\u00a0 To make them believe in the magic that is their favorite Princess come to life.\u00a0 She always says to me, “I would have loved to see my favorite Princess when I was little”.<\/p>\n
