ìWhile we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.î
If I had my child to raise all over again,
I’d build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I’d finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I’d take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I’d take more hikes and fly more kites.
I’d stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I’d do more hugging and less tugging.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I think our girls would get along, too!! I am following your blog now!
Karen! You are amazing. I don’t know how you homeschool your girl as a single parent! What a blessing for both of you (but I don’t know how you stay awake, doing it all by yourself).
What great not back to school pics! Love the pic with a girl and her dog best. Thanks for posting:)
Oh, and thanks for visiting my blog too, and your sweet words. Happy schoolyear to you!
Your daughter is so beautiful and full of life. Thanks for sharing and doing the Blog Hop to my blog.

Many blessings on your homeschool year. Thanks for sharing your pics!!
Love the photos. 🙂 Popping by from the Hip Homeschool Hop.
Coming over from Homeschool Hop – love the photos! And love that your home school takes place outside a lot : )
Love all the pictures of her enjoying learning… she is a beautiful girl and looks like she really enjoys homeschooling. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am a mom of an only, also (7 year old son)… and it encourages me to read about other moms homeschooling onlies. We are in the minority, for sure, but I feel less lonely knowing there are others like us out there. 😉 God bless & have a wonderful school year!
Wonderful pictures! She looks and sounds like a girl who loves life.
Sweet girlz!

I agree with you, homeschooling is the best thing I’ve ever done! Thank you for introducing us to your sweet daughter. Hope you have a lovely school year!
I LOVE the photo of her doing school work in the grass with the school bus driving by!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the encouragement!
Karen,
I love your poem from Diane Loomans. I feel that I have woken up as a parent and realized those same things and before I am looking back wishing I did things differently, I am choosing to be different right now. We began homeschooling in January and like you, it was the best choice we ever made. Now I have my 8 and 10 year old girls at home and we are beginning a whole new chapter in our lives.
I found your blog through the hop and look forward to reading more of your posts!
Ha Ha~ LOVE that photo with the bus in the background! I enjoyed all your photos.
Yes, I’d have to agree! We love homeschooling, too!!
Hope you two have a wonderful year of learning together!! Happy Homeschooling!!
