Lovely days of summer,
swimming,
reading under the trees,
building fairy houses…..Kei has quite the village going, here is her Fruit Stand.† See how the bowls are acorn tops? Isn’t this adorable?
Livvy and Kei have spent the night with each other several times.† There is always silliness when those two get together!
There has been painting….
and lots of Mommy/Kei time….
And today was a great day!† We went with some of our best friends to another friend’s house.† She has a perfect house for kids.† Goats, a calf, chickens, a koi pond, a huge garden and more.† We felt like such farm girls.
I can’t believe that June is winding to a close.† We have had such a good time so far.† And there is more to come.† Because of my friend Jessica’s post Kei and I are planning to head to Amish Country in Tennessee soon.† We† are so looking forward to that.† There are more plans in the works.† “It’s summertime and the livings easy”.
Happy days,
Karen
What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade.† ~Gertrude Jekyll
Oh, Karen, I just love seeing your days -so filled with creativity and love. I especially loved the fruit stand! Thank you for sharing them with us. (BTW-Kei is so beautiful!)
Looks like you are having a great summer!! I want to get out and build fairy houses. I used to love to play with mud for hours when I was a kid. Sadly, my girls are not that “country”. We live in town.
I love that Koi pond too!
I can’t wait to hear about your trip to Tennessee. I’ve always wanted to go to Nashville. Jason’s parents are huge Elvis fans, so he has always wanted to get to Memphis…someday…
It is so nice to see a picture of you and Kei together on your blog! You both look blissfully happy. I love your posts to see what interesting adventures you both have been up to. You are blessed to have such great friends to spend your days with. It makes all the difference, doesn’t it.
I look forward to seeing your trip to Amish country. I did not know there was a community in TN. I knew of western NY, OH, PA, IN but not TN! I’m sure you will have as much fun as we did. It touched me in a way that I brought back a new appreciation for being a homemaker.
